Young Living Essential Oils

Let me tell you about my experience with Essential Oils. There was a time when I would disagree or even quip about these natural oils and how they would work and help with different ailments; physical, mental, & spiritual wellness. The typical male response to people selling this stuff “it’s a gimmick, you are buying snake oils. It does not work” etc. , etc”. One day my wife bought some oils and a diffuser from her niece, I figured ok that’s nice, help your relatives out, that’s what family does, and that would be the end of it. When my wife began using the oils, I was still skeptical and just sat back and observed. Waiting for the right moment to say “I told you so!” She used an oil for cleaning called “Thieves” and I had to admit is smelled pretty good. As a matter of fact, it’s scent was better than any cleaning solution on the market. It didn’t smell like all those chemical smelling cleaners that overpowered you into thinking your house was clean due to the strong odoriferous smell of today’s chemical cleaners. It even worked on laundry; clothes smelled remarkably well when they came out of the washer and dryer and they were clean. One day I had terrible sinus problems, I mean my nose was clogged, to the point I couldn’t breathe. I had heard my wife talking about how good it is with her friends, every night during winter time she would put it in one of those diffuser machines for our daughter. One day, I snuck a bottle of Thieves and put a little on my finger and dabbed the back of my ears. I made sure nobody was around seeing me dab oil behind my ears like a woman. That day I changed my mind about the effectiveness of oils. My nose cleared up, and I was good to go for the day. I began to think about oils and their importance. Back in the days of Jesus, they spoke of oils like Frankincense & Myrrh. Frankincense what was used & is still used for enhanced spiritual awareness; while Myrrh was and is used as a moisturizer and a deeper sense of spirituality. I can see why Mary put it on Christ’s feet. He was walking around in the hot desert sun with sandals on. You can imagine how dry his feet would get. Myrrh soothed or moisturized his feet. Imagine coming home from a long day at work and being anointed (so to speak) by both of these oils. How soothing and relaxing it would feel. Where did this lost art of oils usage go and why was it forgotten? Soon after my sinus experience with Thieves, I was asking Barb if there was an oil for relaxing, sleeping, stress relieving, and so on. To my surprise, everything she has purchased has been a pleasant aroma and relaxing. I know she has used others I just don’t ask because I want them to work without my foreknowledge. We seem to use Thieves the most around here, and I enjoy the aroma. So the lost art of using oils on the body through, inhaling, rubbing on, and diffusing is making a come back in a big way. I went from being an old dog stuck in his ways to a replenished dog willing to learn something new. If you are like me and have not had the opportunity to experience these old-time ways of healing the body or thought it was a bunch of snake oil; I urge you (or ask your wife) to buy just one small bottle of thieves and a diffuser. Try it out for yourself. We are creatures of telling others about a product and recommending (giving testimony to) a particular product and purchasing it based on a friend recommendation. So, you all, are my WordPress friends and here is my testimony about oils. You can email Barb @ if you need some help with any products.
